Diane’s CMT Feet Now
The pic above is Diane’s feet today, after having foot reconstruction surgeries 20+ years ago. Diane was laid up for 3 years having several surgeries on each foot to totally reconstruct her feet from 1997 thru 2000.
The surgeon did one foot at a time and two extensive reconstruction surgeries on each foot. Then Diane had to learn to walk again with her new feet in 2000.
Hit Head-On By A Drunk Driver
On April 13, 2015 Diane was hit head-on by a drunk driver. Previously Diane was diagnosed with Scoliosis from the CMT. You can see the curvature of her neck in the x-ray above. She had just had a neck fusion five months prior to the accident. Therefore, due to trauma from the accident, she needed a second fusion. Because of the head trauma she could not speak for 24 hours. Currently Diane has short term memory problems from the head trauma. Diane’s lucky to be a SURVIVOR.
